The end of the affair/ El fin del romance

                                 

Revisito esta mágnífica película de Neil Jordan, The end of the affair (El fin del romance, 1999), interpretada por Ralph Fiennes, Julianne Moore y Stephen Rea (The crying game, 1992). Basada en la novela homónima del escritor británico Graham Greene, convertido al catolicismo muy poco antes de su muerte, fue llevada al cine anteriormente por Edward Dmytryk en 1955. La interpertación corrió a cargo de Deborah Kerr y Van Johnson. Aún siendo una excelente película, si me dan a elegir, me quedo con el remake de Jordan:perfectamente ambientada en el Londres de la 2ª Guerra Mundial, esta película sobre el adulterio, los celos, el sentimiento de culpa, el odio... y un alto contenido de caracter religioso, cuenta con la banda sonora de Michael Nyman
